Radha ma’am is the mother of music for me. I started learning music from her when I was 3 years old. It has been almost 20 years now and she stands like a rock in my life. With her, music is not just another hobby but a way of life. Her approach towards music is about liberating oneself by using music as meditation and a way of expression.

I have done my graduation in Hindustani classical and now I am pursuing my masters under her. She focuses on understanding the theory of ragas and applying it by improvising on the notes with tabla. Improvising on the notes has allowed me to understand the essence of the raga, which has become a way of meditation. Meditation helped me a lot in my studies and every aspect of life. Additionally, She aims at improving voice quality. By practicing with her, I have developed the ability to sing different styles and genres of songs. She motivates and helps me to compose and write my music as well.

For the last 4 years, I went to college and couldn’t be there in person to take vocal lessons. During this period, she made sure that my music practice was not hindered by giving me vocal lessons online.

Now, I am pursuing music full time as a music producer and singer. Her constant support is the only reason for where I am in music today.

Radha Ma’am is more than a Guru to me. She is like a mother to me, who has given birth to the singer that I am today.

My mother first brought me to ma’am when I was 5 years old. Since then, she has nurtured and developed the musician within me. She opened up a beautiful world of music to me. She trained me in Indian Classical Music, along with Harmonium and Bongo. Ma’am took me and my peers to various competitions and studio recordings. I was about 8 or 9 years old when I had my first recording experience at a studio. We had recorded nursery rhymes for a label.

Ma’am taught us various Ragas, Taals, Thumris, Khayals, Taranas, Qawwalis, Bhajans, Prayers, and so on. She also taught us Semi-classical and Bollywood music. Her dedication, commitment, and love towards us has been unparalleled.
As I progressed, she encouraged and planted in me the dream by giving me, my first ever stage show as an independent artist at the age of 19. She has always been a pillar strength and support to me.

Radha ma’am has a contagious outlook towards life. She is far more than “a music teacher.” She is always helpful towards everyone and I feel very lucky to be associated with her. She is the teacher who’s had the greatest influence on me throughout my life.

Thank you for putting in all your efforts in shaping me not just as a musician but also a person with your teachings, encouragement, and love. I will always be one of your kids! I love you Radha ma’am and I look forward to raise your name high and make you proud!

It is no exaggeration to say this experience at Swar Sangeet Kala Kendra is transformative–both professionally and personally. Music came in my life as a blessing but more then that my Guru Radha mam came as a mentor and the biggest blessing of my life. I am learning music from her from past 6 years and now I am in VIth year of my musical journey.

Online classes have helped me prepare for one of the toughest year in classical music with lots of Raag’s to learn. There has been a commendable effort to put these online classes together with a personalised touch, which feels like as being in front of her and practicing. Everything is precise and clear, she makes classes so interesting that I wait for the next lesson to unlock. After every module/ course homework is submitted before moving to the next lessons.
